The Tour de France 2024, one of the most prestigious cycling races in the world, will once again test the limits of human endurance and performance. In particular, the legendary climbs that the peloton has to conquer are both notorious and fascinating. Among the highest and most challenging climbs in this year's Tour are some of the most famous passes in the Alps and Pyrenees. These include the majestic Col du Galibier, the awe-inspiring Col du Tourmalet, the challenging Col de Vars, the spectacular Col de la Bonette and the impressive mountain resort of Isola 2000. These climbs belong to the highest category (Hors Catégorie) and 1st category, making them the ultimate touchstones for the riders' climbing skills. This year's routes promise epic duels and unforgettable moments in the breathtaking mountain scenery of France.
