Via Dinarica BH-W-06 Prenj Mountain

Such a beautiful stage! We started at “Via Dinarica Guest House” (taxi from Jablanica) which was a really good stay. Then we followed the alternative path proposed on Facebook (follows the road for 2km in the direction of Glogosnica and then go up the mountain through the forest road) and the path was very easy. All the refuges on the VD path were closed, including the last one in Ruijste (open only weekends). The first refuge meduprenje can be accessed by contacting the owner on WA (number of googles maps) and supposed to have water inside. Otherwise there was water below at the Vrutac hut, around midway through the path. We camped there. Finally, the hut Jesece is always open and can be used to sleep. It’s not such a big detour from the VD. This all step took us 1 day and a half.
